Sokoto police kill two bandits, arrest others

Police have killed two suspected armed bandits and arrested several others in Sokoto State.

Addressing a press conference, the State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Sani Kaoje, said on December 4, a team of operatives received a distress call that some armed bandits were preparing to carry out operation around Yabo-Sanyinna forest.

“The operatives swiftly proceeded to the area, on reaching the bush, the bandits wearing military camouflage opened fire and a gun duel ensued.

“Two of the bandits were killed, while others escaped into the bush with bullet wounds,” he said.
