The Committee Chairman, Buhari Haliru, gave the directive when he led members of the committee on an oversight visit to the board’s office in Sokoto.
According to him, the committee had notified the board in a letter dated Oct. 7, on its intention to undertake the oversight visit.
“But as you can see, we are here today and non of the officials is in the office as at 2:40 pm.
“The Assembly is really disappointed with the board’s attitude of denying the committee the chance to perform its constitutional responsibility.
“Therefore, the Chairman, Permanent Secretary and all Directors of SUBEB should unfailingly appear before the committee on October 15, by 10:00 am to explain their action,” he said. (NAN)
