It will be a battle royale at the Illaji Sports Resort, Ibadan, on October 1st Independence Day when Lagos champions, Snowlions FC take on Northern region winners 12Strong FC of Abuja in the finals of the 2022 Merrybet5Stars Premier League Reboot Season.
SnowLions Fc of Lekki District had emerged champions and sole representative of the Southern Region in the National Final after they defeated the previously unbeaten ISabiPlay FC 3-1 in a keenly contested and exciting Lagos finale at Meadow Hall Lekki Phase 1 over the weekend.

In the same vein, Northern region winners 12Strong FC defeated Mess up Fc.
The Managing Director of 5stars Consultancy, Olumide Aturu also said during the finals, a mini-tourney for Ibadan-based grassroot sides to compete will be organised.
“We will organise a mini-tournament during the finals where grassroots clubs there can win cash prizes, gift items, and add colour and glam to the main event. It’s all systems go where champions play, as history looks set to be made this Saturday,” he noted.
He further said the league seeks to develop football in Nigeria from the grassroots.
“This is the opportunity to harness the talents and help improve the structure of our football in Nigeria. If we have talents from the grassroots, it helps to develop the other tiers of football like the NLO, NNL and NPFL in the long run and spark a whole of development,” he said.
