The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has launched a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) equipment exhibition portal, market hub app and a digital academy.

Speaking during the virtual launch in Abuja, yesterday, the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Ambassador Mariam Yelwaji Katagum, said, “These products have been carefully designed and developed to ensure that MSMEs desirous of improving their businesses can utilize them for improved sales and knowledge enhancement,” she said.

The Director General of SMEDAN, Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, said the MARKETHUB is a one-stop online convergence of all small and medium scale businesses, including service providers.

“It is positioned to be the number one business directory App in Nigeria, where you can visit and check out uploaded businesses and services with their contact details or upload your own business and services for prospects to view and contact you,” he said.

Dr. Radda said MSME Digital Academy is the first major Online Learning Place for MSMEs locally and in Africa, where small business owners, their employees, freelancers, and any prospective entrepreneur can learn skills and gain knowledge.

The Online Equipment Exhibition Portal helps manufacturers of light machineries/equipment suitable for MSMEs to showcase and demonstrate their latest products and services, meet with industry partners and MSMEs.

“The agency, therefore, is poised to explore and maximize the opportunities presented through emerging technologies to bring our offerings closer to the MSMEs in Nigeria and beyond,” Radda said.
