The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has said it is collaborating with other relevant agencies for the effective implementation of the National Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Policy 2021-2025.
Mr Olawale Fasanya, Director General of SMEDAN, stated this at an inter-agency working group dialogue on the implementation of the MSME Policy which was sponsored by the German Agency for International Corporation (GIZ).
Recall that the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Amb Mariam Katagum, on June 7, 2022, inaugurated the MDA Focal Persons Group for the implementation of the policy.
Fasanya, represented by Mr Onesi-Lawani Daberuje, said that strong collaboration was critical in entrenching inclusive development of the MSME sub-sector.
He said, “Another objective of the policy is to effectively deliver on employment and wealth creation and accelerate economic growth.”
The SMEDAN boss further said that the MSME Policy emphasised a strong implementation framework with critical ongoing inputs from public-private dialogue.
