As at Match Day 36, Remo Stars are better placed to win the slot as they are on 56 points while Kwara United are on 55 points.
Enugu Rangers are on 53 points and Enyimba are a point below while Sunshine Stars and Akwa United are on 51 points each.
However, another club will join whoever picks the slot as the competition is composed of domestic cup winners from all 54 CAF member associations and the third-placed-finished club in the domestic league from the top twelve leagues.
Nigeria is ranked the 8th best league in Africa behind Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, South Africa, DR Congo and Guinea.
Meanwhile, it will be noted that the CAF Champions League final will now be played over two legs as announced by CAF.
The decision was taken during the confederation’s Executive Committee meeting held on the sidelines of the ongoing 12th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
