The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr Abubakar Lawal has confirmed the death of six persons killed by a water tanker at Nza Street, Enugu.
He has ordered the State CID and the motor traffic unit of the command to investigate the incident thoroughly to ascertain the circumstances surrounding it.

A release from the Police’s spokesman, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, on Friday, said the commissioner, who commiserated with families of the deceased, also urged motorists to always ensure vehicles are generally fit to ply the roads to avoid ugly incidents.

Meanwhile, the state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has visited the scene of the accident.
