One person has been killed and a Toyota Sienna car was burnt by armed men reportedly enforcing the weekly sit-at-home in Enugu despite its ban by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
It was learnt that the driver of the burnt vehicle who escaped unhurt was still loading passengers when the gunmen attacked the popular Holy Ghost Motor Park, precisely at Chris Chemist axis.

The park is a walking distance from the Enugu State Police Command.
Daily Trust gathered that the driver of the burnt vehicle was fond of loading very early every Monday morning to beat the sit-at-home enforcers. He stood a distance away from his vehicle when the gunmen arrived in a minibus.
The Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Daniel Ndukwe, who confirmed the incident, said only one person was shot and was later confirmed dead at the hospital.
Ndukwe, in a press release yesterday, said police had launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.
