Sir Ahmadu Bello Foundation, Fidelity bank bolster fight against Covid-19 in Kebbi

As part of the ongoing efforts to curtail the spread of coronavirus pandemic, Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, Kaduna has donated 1,500 face masks to Kebbi State Government.

The presentation was made on Monday at Government House, Birnin Kebbi by the representative of the foundation in Kebbi, Architect Muhammad Lawal, to the Chairman State Task Force on Covid -19, Jafar Muhammad.

Lawal said the donation of One Thousand Five Hundred (1,500) face masks by the foundation was to support the Kebbi State Government in its dogged fight against the the Coronavirus (Covid -19) pandemic, according to a release by Yahaya Sarki, the Special Adviser (SA) Media to Kebbi State Governor.

Fidelity Bank also donated  N5million to the state government.

The bank, on Tuesday donated the money, in support of the provision of palliatives to vulnerable persons arising from the covid-19 pandemic.

The Cheque was presented to the Chief of Staff Government House, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Argungu (Jarman Kabi), by the Regional Manager of the Bank, Mallam Salihu Jibrin,at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi.

He assured the state government that, the bank would be an active partner in the fight against the dreaded Coronvirus disease by providing more possible assistance.

” Although the donation of five million naira by the bank could be described as a token, it would aid ongoing efforts by the state government in containing the covid-19 scourge,” he averred.

The Regional Manager announced that, the money would be remitted into the state government’s account by Wednesday, May 20,2020.
