Nigerian singer and songwriter, Divine Ikubor popularly known as Rema, has released a new single.

The ‘Dumebi’ crooner took to his Instagram page to announce the release of his new single. He said, “Calm down- midnight! Link in bio. Thank you for all the love, calm down out worldwide! Link in bio. Official video drops 7 pm WAT”.

The song titled, ‘Calm Down’, got released at midnight on Friday, 11th January 2022 and it has been announced that  the video will be out by 7 pm today. This is coming a month to the release of his new album, ‘Raves and Roses’, which is set to drop on March 25, 2020.

Calm Down, speaks of the singer’s love interest who he met at his party and how he tried to connect with her. They spoke and danced and even though her friends were trying to be a hindrance to that, they still found a way to reconnect and hit it off.

Nigerian tweeps also reacted to his new single. The Twitter user, @mbahdeyforyou wrote: If Rema tells you another banger just believe am.” (sic).

Another user of the microblogging site, @nekie_neka, while reacting to the singer’s recent project wrote, “I’m listening, baba. The song no need gospel, TBVFH. Rema owns my Friday.”(sic)

His colleague, Omah Lay also took to his verified Twitter account to hail Rema on his new song. Omah Lay tweeted, “Rema be going all out every now and then, that calm down song slaps!!”
