Shun cybercrime, gangster life, youths told

A Guidance Counselor, Mrs Oshagbemi Oluyemisi, has admonished students to take up the responsibility of fixing the nation while shunning cybercrime and gangsterism.

Oluyemisi, who addressed Tech 3 students of Government Technical College (GTC), Ikotun in Lagos at an event tagged ‘Career Guidance Day’, encouraged them not to run away from their responsibility.

“We all have the responsibility of fixing Nigeria. I am doing mine, the government is doing hers by providing you this golden opportunity, so do yours as you step out of this place.

“The foundation for fixing our country has been laid in you through the training acquired. The three years of study here is to bring out the best in you. So, do not relent in your efforts until you become the one to get Nigeria to the top,” she said.

The Executive Secretary of Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board, (LASTVEB), Ms. Ronke Azeez, enjoined the outgoing students to take advantage of the skills they have acquired.

The Principal, GTC, Ikotun Mr. Alayemi Oluwole, said the programme was to assist individuals in making and implementing informed educational and occupational choices.
