Shun cultism, truancy, Gbajabiamila tells students

The speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has advised students to shun violence, drugs, cultism and other vices in order to excel in their academic activities and become useful citizens.

According to him, these vices are capable of derailing their dreams and aspirations.

He gave the advice when he distributed laptops and other learning materials to 494 students across 38 schools in his Surulere 1 Federal Constituency.

His spokesman, Lanre Lasisi, in a statement yesterday, said Gbajabiamila told the students that engaging in vices would make them lose focus in life.

The speaker also advised them to focus their attention on Information and Communication Technology to be relevant and competitive in today’s globalising world.
