Shettima urges Nigerians on charity

Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, has urged Nigerians to help the needy by sustaining their good nature on charity and continue to pray for the success of the Tinubu led-administration renewed hope agenda.

He made the plea while laying the foundation for the NASFAT Gudu Branch Mosque, Abuja.

Shettima represented by the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Special Duties, office of the Vice President, Dr. Aliyu Moddibbo Umar.

He said it was important to have such religious structures in place so as to further enlighten the citizenry and to address issue of campaign of calumny, while work to bring about peaceful co-existence, love, unity and stability among Nigerians.

Also, the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Audu, called for prayers for President Bola Tinubu to enable him achieve his renewed hope agenda for the good of this country.

Earlier in his sermon during Jummat prayer, the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Morufu AbdulAzeez Onike, reminded the congregants on the enormous benefits, rewards in giving charity and spreading generosity as well as being steadfast in the cause of Allah especially contributing to noble cause such as building of a mosque.

Onike said that the importance of the mosque when completed is to stand as a hub for spiritual growth, education, and community development.

“The project is a testament to NASFAT’s dedication to promoting the well-being of its members and the wider community,” Onike said.

The new NASFAT Gudu branch mosque project, designed to accommodate a large congregation, will also feature facilities for Islamic education, youth development programmes, and social services.
