Tribute to the late Prof Alex Gboyega
The NNPP chair in an interview with Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily said they gave Shekarau all opportunities but he decided to leave.
He said, “I think we have moved on in the case of Ibrahim Shekarau. We gave him an opportunity in our platform but at some point he decided to opt out, so already we are working on something else.
“Remember you can lose one and get 10. So far, what we know is virtually all the people he came with refused to join him. I think we are good to go; all his supporters stay in the NNPP, that is the truth.
“Let me tell you what happened recently when I went to Kano about two days ago, his (Shekarau) in-law decided to come to NNPP.
“You see we have given Shekarau due respect since he left. I resisted to say anything about his decision because we in NNPP respect everyone’s choice although I know this choice is not the best for him.”
