A man, Farouk Salihu, has dragged his estranged lover, Kehinde Garba, before a magistrates’ court sitting in Centre Igboro in Ilọrin, Kwara State, accusing her of trying to force a pregnancy on him.
Salihu told the court presided over by Magistrate AbdulQadir Umar that he was not responsible for the pregnancy, saying, “My Lord, this woman just wants to force this pregnancy on me. I am not responsible for it. She reported me to the NSCDC where I was questioned.”

On her part, Kehinde urged the court to discountenance the submission of the complainant, saying, “He is the father of the child and only trying to shy away from responsibility.
Magistrate Umar ordered the accused to avail the court all the material evidence that suggested the complainant was the owner of the pregnancy and adjourned to March 29, 2024.
