Seven special benefits of this year’s Arafat day

Friday is the greatest day of the week for Muslims as it is the day for weekly Juma’at prayers.

Similarly, Arafat day is the apex day in the hajj activities. It is considered as a day of gratitude and the most sacred day in a year.

Coincidentally, Muslims will observe the two important eevents on the same day this year. The luckiest day is today, July 8, 2022.

Multiple virtues 

Friday is the day of celebration, so also Arafat, therefore it will be virtues upon virtues.

Special rewards

There is a popular Hadith though weak which says “Whoever performs Hajj coincided with Friday, that is equivalent to 72 Hajj that doesn’t coincided with Friday”.

Double opportunities

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said in all Fridays, there’s an hour in which if a Muslim prays, he is guaranteed that his prayers will be answered. So also on Arafat day. Therefore, their coincidence means double chances for prayers to be answered.

Two great sermons

On both Fridays and Arafat, Muslims converge for congregation prayers and listen to sermons. Having two great sermons in day is another benefits.

Reminder of historic moment

Almighty Allah completed perfected Islam on Friday and Arafat. So observing Arafat on Friday this year is a reminder of that important day.

Reminder of judgement day

A renowned Islamic scholar, Dr Hamza Abubakar Hussaini of Department of Religious Studies, Federal University Kashere, Gombe State, also noted that Arafat is the day Muslims all over the world converge on one place. He said happening on a Friday is a reminder about the day of judgement.

Day of forgiveness

Arafat day is day in which Allah forgive most of the servants, the scholar added.
