At least 973 emergency response cases were recorded in Lagos State in the first last seven months, spanning January and July 2022.
This was disclosed in a report released by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) on Tuesday.

A breakdown of the statistics reveals that the agency recorded 377 road accidents, 31 cases of building collapse, 103 fire incidents, and 54 deaths during the period under review.
A further analysis shows that the highest number of emergency cases (165) was recorded in January followed by May when 160 cases were recorded. The lowest number (107) of emergency cases was recorded in April.
Also, Alimosho Local Government Area of the state witnessed highest number of emergency cases, totalling 145 during the period, while Badagry recorded the lowest- 2.
It was also stated that the agency responded to 58 cases in the neighbouring Ogun State.
