Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to President Bola Tinubu on Delivery and Monitoring Youth Initiatives, Titilope Gbadamosi, has underscored excellent service delivery as a priority in achieving success of government policies.
He added that without excellent service delivery, policies would be dead on arrival.
The SSA made this standpoint during a conference organised by the Service Compact for all Nigerians (SERVICOM) in partnership with the House Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs on Tuesday.
The conference with the theme “Promoting Excellent Service Delivery in the Public Sector” held at the International Conference Centre, UI, Ibadan, and had in attendance stakeholders from various MDAs, the House of Representatives Committee on Inter–Governmental Affairs among others.

Gbadamosi said, “Service delivery is one of the major areas the federal government is looking to improve on and having this conference is one of the ways to make sure that we are aligned with the presidential priority areas.
“We must understand that the business of governance is not just for the political office holders but also civil servants in different MDAs who are at the implementation levels of those policies, so it is important for all Nigerians to be carried along in an excellent manner”.
Expressing similar sentiments, the Chairman, House of Reps Committee on Inter- Governmental Affairs, Hon. Canice Nwachukwu, who was represented by his deputy, Hon. Ime Okon, stressed the need for an improved service delivery in the public service
He said, “All the MDAs and the public service have objectives and goals they are to deliver to the people and our interest is that there should be optimum service deliveries so that the people could be satisfied.
“We have been going to places and we know that most times, we are frustrated because of the nature of how services are being delivered and that is what informs the House Committee to partner with our consultants to see how we can further enhance service delivery to our people.”
Also, the National Coordinator and CEO, SERVICOM in the Presidency, Mrs Nnena Akajemeli, assured that the conference aims at bringing to the fore, issues around service deliveries, bottlenecks and pitfalls.
