Sensitive election materials arrive CBN in Nasarawa

Sensitive election materials have arrived Nasarawa state amidst tight security.

The materials were taken to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) branch in Lafia, on an articulated trailer.

Police blocked the road which passed in front of the bank office to avoid security breach.

Journalists, European Union observers and Civil Society Groups were allowed access to CBN premises to observe offloading of the election materials, Daily Trust reports.

Some of the election materials, which arrived CBN by 12 noon, were in cartons and covered in white polythene.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner of the INEC in the state, Dr Uthman Ajidagda, did not comment on the delivery of the election materials.
