The Senator representing Zone I of Kaduna State in the Senate, Othman Suleiman Hunkuyi, lost his seat to Suleiman Abdu Kwari of the All Progressives Congress.

Hunkuyi, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, scored 181,955 votes as against the winner who scored 411,497.

Professor Muhammad Magaji Garba announced the result this afternoon.
