Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, lawmaker representing Kano North at the National Assembly, has lost his son, Sadiq Kabiru Gaya.

Sadiq Gaya, an Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) lawyer, died on Tuesday afternoon and was buried in Abuja.

A law graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and graduate of LL.M University in Wales, United Kingdom, the deceased left behind a wife and two children.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, Ganduje described the deceased as disciplined, righteous and man of the people.

He said “Though we all loved him, but Allah loves his the most. Ours is to pray for him to get Allah’s Forgiveness and Jannah.”

“On behalf of the government and good people of Kano state, we are sending our condolences to our Distinguished Senator, Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya and his entire family members for the great loss.

“May Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala forgive all his shortcomings and reward his good deeds. We received the information of his death with shock.”

The statement added that the governor was in Senator Gaya’s residence in Abuja and commiserated with him and the family.
