The senator representing Taraba southern senatorial zone in the Senate , Senator Emmanuel Bwacha has said that he is duty-bound to respond to yearnings of his constituents.
Senator Emmanuel Bwacha told North East Trust in Wukari that his focus on the provision of basic needs to people in his constituents was part of pledges he made to the people when he campaigned for the office he is now occupying.
The senator who spoke after donating 10 tractors to communities in his constituency, said elected officeholders were expected to provide basic things to the people that elected them.
He said the donation to farmers in Donga, Takum,Ussa, lbi and Wukari was part of his efforts to help farmers to improve on their agricultural activities.
He said the senatorial zone has agricultural potentials but lacks modern farming tools, which was hampering utilisation of the potentials.
The lawmaker said if properly utilised, the tractors would improve farmers’ productivity.
He advised the beneficiaries to ensure proper maintenance to sustain them.
