Senate summons Umahi over poor state of Oyo-Ogbomoso road

The Senate has summoned the Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, over the deteriorating condition of the Old Oyo-Ogbomoso road.

This followed a motion by Senator Buhari Abdulfatai (APC, Oyo North), who expressed concern over the worsening state of the road.
The senator said the road which links the South with the North had become a source of severe hardship for travellers.
He said, “For over 10 years, despite the Federal Government initiating major repairs on the road, it remains in a deplorable state, resulting in regular accidents and daily gridlock caused by articulated vehicles.”
The senators debated and resolved to summon the minister.
