The Senate today summoned the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir David Lawal, over his comment on the Constituency projects of the Federal lawmakers.
Babachir was summoned following a motion sponsored by Senator Matthew Urhoghide (PDP, Edo South), citing Daily Trust edition of 28th June this year.
Babachir was quoted as saying that Government might find it very difficult to implement the constituency projects to the latter because MDAs might not find constituency projects as critical to the execution of their mandate given the dwindling resources.
This is the second time that the Senate would be summoning the SGF. He was summoned two weeks ago over the list of Ambassadorial nominees.
