The only surviving son of Sen. Jeremiah Useni, Ponfa Useni has survived a car crash around Pankshin local government area of Plateau State while returning from his home town in Langtang LG.

Daily Trust gathered that Ponfa had represented his father at a coronation ceremony in Ibbi local government area of Taraba State on Saturday and to cut short his journey from Ibbi to Jos, he had spent the night in Langtang.
 
A close member of the family told our correspondent that Ponfa who sustained injuries had left Langtang on Sunday for Jos but was involved in an accident around Pankshin when he swerved his car to avoid hitting a goat.
 
The 43 year old who was behind the wheels is also the Danburam Bwarat in Langtang and Majidadin Abaji in Abuja. His father recently declared his intention to contest the governorship seat in Plateau state under the Peoples Democratic Party.
 
When contacted, the Media Aid to the Senator, Abubakar Ateeku Yusuf confirmed the accident but said Ponfa was recuperating in an undisclosed hospital in Jos.
