The mother of a former Senator representing Bauchi Central, Abdul Ningi, Hajiya Abu, died Sunday in Ningi town after protracted illness.
Hundreds of sympathisers from within and outside Bauchi State, including Governor Bala Mohammed, Emir of Ningi, and prominent politicians attended the funeral prayer held at the palace of the Emir of Ningi Alhaji Yunusa Muhammadu Danyaya.

Condoling the senator, Gov Mohammed who led top government functionaries to family’s compound, described the deceased as a pillar who lived an exemplary life prayed Allah to grant her Jannatul Firdaus and give the family the courage to bear the loss.
Responding on behalf of the family, the Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Yunusa thanked the governor for the visit and words of encouragement.
