Chairman of the Senate Committee on Employment, Labour & Productivity and the senator representing Bauchi North Federal Constituency was, yesterday, was appointed the chairman of the Senate Committee on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Senate President Bukola Saraki, announcing the appointment, said it was coming on the heels of Nazif’s hard work, dedication to duty and versatility.
Reacting to his appointment, Nazif said it was an honour to be found worthy of more responsibilities by the Senate’s leadership.
“It is an honour to head such a very important committee as this. I will do my best to contribute my quota to ensure that the INEC us truly independent and able to stand the test of time,” the lawmaker said.
