As the lockdown against coronavirus pandemic enters its second week, Nigerians are taking a new habit to keep themselves busy while the lockdown lasts.

From the mundane to the humorous and sometimes serious tasks or acts of kindness, they are keeping hope alive that the COVID-19-induced disruption of their normal lives will end sooner.

Daily Trust explores what some of your favourite celebrities are doing in this period of not only lockdown, but also social distancing.

Ali Baba

The  Grand Comedian of the Federal Republic (GCFR) is one artiste whose A-list show you wouldn’t want to miss, no matter the ticket price.

But beyond his humour merchandise, he has been championing charity causes to cater for the well-being of younger comedians during this lockdown period alongside his colleagues such as Okey Bakassi, Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, AY Comedian, Omobaba, Funnybone, Basketmouth and Bunmi Davies.

In the face of the lockdown, with the attendant issues of lack of preparedness, hard times and economic downturn, we the senior comedians have decided to do something (by taxing ourselves) for our upcoming colleagues who form #ComediansOftheFederalRepublicOfNigeria. (CFRN) _ I thank @okeybakassi @gbengaadeyinka1stgcon @aycomedian @omobabacomedian @funnyboneofficial and @basketmouth for waking up to this clarion call to support our colleagues. _ Contact your fellow comedians for details of this nationwide project. Please also tag upcoming comedians that you know. They are usually around your churches and universities. Thank you _ The first batch of support have gone out and we are preparing for the next intervention. We thank @officialbunmidavies, who is helping to coordinate the project. _ We also use this opportunity to call on all leaders of different entertainment sectors to look into the hardship of their upcoming colleagues in the same sector as they are in. _ #StaySafe #WashYourHands #keepsocialdistances #GetCreative

Burna Boy

The ‘African Giant’ and Grammy Award nominee has kept his fans locked onto his social media pages, perhaps more than his contemporaries in the music industry.

From freestyling ‘LIVE’ from the comfort of his home days ago to commenting on trending national issues, he is making good use of this lockdown to rediscover his self. Below is one of his acts during this critical period:

Adekunle Gold

The ‘Jore’ and ‘Orente’ crooner couldn’t just fold his arms while his numerous fans idle away at home during this period.

He connected with them via YouTube days ago for a LIVE freestyle performance to show that the Highlife singer still got their backs at this trying time. Watch below:

Waje: Known for her cool music vibes, this Nigerian singer has shown that you can also rely on her for relationship nuggets in this witty but shorty video below:
