Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s incredible contract bonuses have been revealed after his January arrival at Arsenal.

The Gabon forward completed his move from Borussia Dortmund in the winter transfer window as the Gunners battled to soften the blow of Alexis Sanchez joining Manchester United.

But if Aubameyang was a panic buy, the risk from Arsene Wenger has paid off.

The attacker has hit the ground running in north London, netting nine goals in 13 appearances.

And Aubameyang’s solid performances have earned him some eye-watering bonuses due to contract clauses put in place upon his arrival.

The findings by Der Spiegel, which were published in the book Football Leaks: Uncovering The Dirty Deals Behind The Beautiful Game, found that the 28-year-old has a £15m loyalty bonus, split into four instalments, to be paid before 2021.

To add, Aubameyang will receive £300,000 if he contributes to 25 goals and assists in a single season.

Also, a £50,000 win bonus is received for every league match he starts which Arsenal win.

But Aubameyang’s biggest add-on comes in the form of a Champions League win bonus.

The former Dortmund star will rake in £2.6m should the Gunners win the competition, despite the club not finishing in the top four this season.

Aubameyang and Arsenal travel to relegation survivors Huddersfield on Sunday in Wenger’s final match.
