The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Y. D. Ahmed, has said security and welfare of corps members remain the top priority of the federal government.
During a familiarisation visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Boro Town, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Brigadier General Ahmed commended the corps members for their discipline and urged them to adhere to the rules and regulations of the scheme.
He emphasised the importance of personal security, advising corps members to be vigilant at all times and to familiarise themselves with the security tips provided in the booklet.
The DG cautioned against the misuse of social media and urged corps members to refrain from posting NYSC activities online.
Highlighting the significance of the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, Brigadier General Ahmed encouraged corps members to actively participate, emphasizing that it aims to make them self-reliant and future employers of labour.
He urged corps members to engage fully in camp activities and maintain proper dress code at all times.
