The local security outfits, the Benue State Community Volunteer Guards (BSCVG), Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Services, State Livestock Guards and Nigeria Vigilante Group, stormed the road to create their presence while ensuring the safety of residents and commuters.

The governor’s Adviser on Security and Internal affairs, Chief Joseph Har, who led the deployment of the security outfits in a number of motorcades and hundreds of motorcycles to create awareness and sensitise residents against those who engaged in such unwholesome practices, assured that peace would return to the area henceforth.

Har said that Governor Hyacinth Alia approved the exercise as part of efforts to complement conventional security agencies to ward off hoodlums whose activities had become a menace.
