Security operatives, comprising the military, police, DSS, civil defence and vigilantes have rescued three persons abducted by bandits in Kanzanna Forest, Bunza Local Government Area of Kebbi State, on Sunday.
The joint security operatives also neutralised one suspected bandit while several others were said to have escaped with bullet wounds following an attack launched by the troops on the bandits.
The bandits before the attack had carried out a series of offensives in Kalgo, Bunza and Arewa local government areas of Kebbi State.
The Director of Security, Cabinet Office, Birnin Kebbi, AbdulRahman Usman, said Governor Nasiru Idris has directed the deployment of more security personnel to the affected local government areas to bolster security for the people and their properties.

“He also directed the provision of adequate logistics support for the joint security operatives,” he said.
