The Katsina State governor, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda has appreciated the fervent prayers offered by the citizens for the peace and progress of the state.
He said the state had witnessed tremendous improvement in the area of security of lives and property in recent days. “That proved that our prayers during the month of Ramadan were answered,” he said.
The Eid prayer, which attracted a large turnout of Muslims was led by Imam Adam Husain.
The Emir of Katsina, Dr Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, reminded political leaders that they would account for their actions.

The emir called on the people to be devoted to their worship and to make life easier for one another in the current economic hardship.
Meanwhile, at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University Eid ground, the imam, Dr Muhammad Sagir Al-Madany, urged the business community to be sympathetic to the masses by reducing the prices of their communities since the price of the dollar has crashed.
