Some former military administrators and political leaders in Nigeria on Sunday harped on quality leadership to boost security in the country.
They spoke at the 76th birthday celebration of Col Paul Omeruo (rtd) in Abuja.

Brig-Gen Olagunsoye Oyinlola (rtd), a former Military Administrator of Lagos State, said only quality and credible leadership would surmount the challenges of insecurity.
Oyinlola said: “Competence and capacity should be the watchword on selection of our leaders and not just politics.”
Also speaking, the celebrant, Col. Paul Omeruo, a former military administrator of Kogi, urged the leadership class to always show love and care to followers.
On his part, Gen. Ijeomah Ijeomah (rtd) called for caution and meritocracy in the country’s leadership recruitment process.
Sen. Eze Ajoku, President Coalition of Societies for the Rights of Older Persons in Nigeria, appealed to politicians to look beyond political interests and sentiments in the choice of leadership. (NAN)
