The security challenges in some parts of Sokoto State would not hinder the forthcoming housing and population census in the state.
The federal commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC) in charge of Sokoto State, Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo, disclosed this at the opening ceremony of a one-day training for journalists on the 2023 census on Friday.
He also reiterated that no place would be left out during the exercise on account of insecurity.
“We have taken measures to ensure census is conducted even in places where there are security challenges.

“I don’t want to disclose everything here but be rest assured that no place will be left out on account of security challenges,” he said.
He however, appealed to the media to support the agency towards having a hitch free exercise.
The state’s director of NPC, Malami Marafa Gagi, appealed to people of the state to be patient and cooperate with their workers during the exercise.
