Secondary Education Commission cautions proprietors on exam malpractice

Executive Secretary, National Senior Secondary Education Commission, Benjamin Abakpa, Thursday asked school proprietors to shun examination malpractice to save the education system from total collapse.

He spoke in Abuja when the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) visited him.

He said examination malpractice would destroy the education system and further jeopardize the future of students.

He described as regrettable, the inability of some students in the tertiary institutions to defend their SSCE results.

Earlier, ASUSS President Omaji Samuel said the union would collaborate with the commission to “see the glory of our senior secondary education fully restored.”
