The candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Cross River State, Barrister Eyo Ekpo has lamented the high rate of vote buying in Cross River State especially at his unit 5 polling unit at AME Zion School on Diamond Hill Calabar.
Ekpo spoke to journalists after he voted alongside his wife and Mr Donald Duke, who was the party’s presidential candidate at the presidential election which held two weeks ago.
He said he witnessed excessive vote buying as well as huge sum of money changing hands at the unit.
He said he strongly suspected the incumbent party, the Peoples Democratic Party, as one behind the massive vote buying.
Ekpo alleged that they were bent on rigging the election.
