SDP chieftain ditches party, directs supporters to vote Tinubu

A former Presidential aspirant on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, (SDP), Mrs Cesnabmihilo Dorothy Nuhu-Aken’ova, has formally announced her resignation from the party.

Mrs Nuhu-Aken’ova, who disclosed this in Abuja while addressing her supporters, asked them to cast their votes for the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima during Saturday’s Presidential election.

The SDP chieftain explained that Tinubu and Shettima’s good track records of growth and development when they were governors prompted her decision to defect to the APC.

She said, “When Tinubu is elected as executive President of Nigeria, Nigeria will be where young people have hope and an enabling environment for the full realisation of their dreams. The young people would enjoy an uninterrupted school calendar, job opportunities and career growth and development.

“Where they are equipped to compete and serve the country and the world at large shoulder to shoulder with their peers across the globe. A Nigeria where access to quality and holistic healthcare is not a reserve of the rich and a select few.”

The Niger state-born politician, popularly called “Jewel of the Niger” stressed that the group wants a Nigeria where communities are safe and members can go to sleep with their eyes closed.

“I and my support group are calling on the voters to endorse and vote the Jagaban Borgu, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be elected as the incoming President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” she added.
