The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has appointed Dr Olu Agunloye as acting national chairman of the party.
This followed the resignation of the party’s national chairman, Professor Tunde Adeniran, and his disengagement from partisan politics.

In a statement on Thursday in Abuja, the SDP National Secretary, Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam, said the decision was reached at the party’s NWC meeting in Abuja.

Until his new appointment, Agunloye was the party’s deputy national chairman (South).
