The National Association of Scrap and Waste Dealers Employers of Nigeria (NACWDEN) has appealed to the federal government to provide its members with soft loans to expand their business.
The scrap dealers also appealed to the government to prevail on security agencies to stop harassing their members.
The Chairman of the state association’s chairmen’s forum, Aminu Hassan, made the plea on the sidelines of the association’s stakeholders meeting on Sunday in Abuja.
He said the association was a registered trade union under the Trade Union Act, Cap T14, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

Hassan said the association was in dire need of funding and protection to enhance its contribution to the national economy.
