School children in Abia State have finally resumed academic work after several postponements following the recent skirmishes between the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Nigerian Army.
A visit to Ibeku High School and Urban Primary School all in Umuahia North showed students and pupils were in high spirits to commence academic work .
Schools had been under lock and key while the confrontations between IPOB members and soldiers lasted, but the authorities believe the tensions generated by the skirmishes has clamed sufficiently for the schools to reopen and for pupils to be back for their studies
