Executive Chairman, Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Grace Adagba, has directed that teachers absent at their duty posts be transferred to their local governments of origin.
Adagba, according to a statement by Akese Emmanuella, Information Officer Benue SUBEB, stated this after monitoring school resumption in the state
She expressed satisfaction with teachers’ prompt resumption and promised to reward them.
She harped on timely resumption and effective lesson delivery.

She said the board was committed to enhancing the quality of education by ensuring teachers’ presence and active engagement with students from the first day of the term.
The SUBEB boss charged the teachers to ensure that their lesson plans were up to date and commence teaching immediately, assuring that “We will continue to put on strategies to ensure that teachers enjoy the fruits of their labours.”
She thanked Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia for improving teachers’ welfare through prompt payment of salaries, urging them to reciprocate the gesture by dedicating themselves to their duties.
In their remarks, the head teacher of St Joseph Primary School, Terzungwe Tsetim and a parent, Noble Ahor, lauded Adagba for monitoring schools.
