The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, His Excellency Adnan Mahmoud Bostaji, on Tuesday hosted the SSA to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa; the minster of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammad Bello; and the minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, among other dignitaries for an iftar to break the Ramadan fast in Abuja.
The ambassador also hosted an array of Nigerians and other members of the diplomatic corps at the Dunes Centre in Abuja.
“This kind of gathering gives precedence between the bilateral relations between our two states and the participation of Nigerians in this iftar ceremony gives the ground for friendliness and shows the love between the two countries,” the ambassador said.
He also noted the historical relations Nigeria and Saudi Arabia have enjoyed since 1960, and reiterated his unwavering belief that it will continue to go higher.
Also in attendance at the event are the Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission Ambassador Babatunde A. Nuredeem; Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Mr. Lee In Tae; and the Bangladeshi High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Shameem Ahsan amongst others.
