The Sarkin Karshi, Alhaji Mohammed Ismaila (MFR), will on Wednesday, December 13 host the FOSLA Academy female football team that represented Nigeria at the CAF African Schools Football Championship which was held in Lome, Togo.
The grand reception to be held in the traditional ruler’s palace will be attended by his wife at whose instance the welcome reception is being organised.
It will be recalled that the inaugural 8 – Aside CAF African Schools Football Championship held from November 23rd – November 26th, 2023 in Togo.
FOSLA Academy which is owned by a former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi, had won the national preliminaries held in Abuja which qualified the academy which is located in Karshi to represent Nigeria in Lome.

It is also interesting to note that before the trip to Togo, Patricia Habila of FOSLA Academy had won the MVP and Highest Goalscorer Awards at the National Championship in Abuja.
Though FOSLA Academy girls didn’t win the trophy in Lome, they won the fair play award due to their strict compliance to CAF rules.
The proprietor of the academy, therefore, said the young girls deserve to be celebrated because they have brought honour to their fatherland.
“I am proud of what the team achieved. The fair play award means a lot to us. At this level we are more concerned with development of the raw talents,” said Lulu.
