Sarkin Fulani raises alarm over son’s disappearance for 5 months

The Sarkin Fulani of Zuma in Bwari Area Council of the FCT, Alhaji Idrissa Dodon Tuwo, have expressed worried over the disappearance of his son, Abubakar Babangida Zuma, in the area for over five months.

Dodon Tuwo, who spoke with our reporter through telephone on Thursday, said his son, Babangida, who went to deliver food items to his brothers rearing cows at Mape village near neighboring Kuyeri, did not return for almost five months.

He said he had made several unsuccessful efforts to trace Babangida, who is 35 years old and married with two wives and five children.

He said the last communication he had with him was in July on the day he left home to deliver food items to his brothers at a new Fulani settlement.

He said, “I have reported the incident to various security agencies but up till today, we are unable to trace him.’’

The Sarkin Fulani also said he went to SCC village market in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State, after he received information that soldiers raided the market and arrested some suspects.

“I also went to SCC village market in Kachia when I learned that soldiers raided the market and arrested some suspects to find out if he was among those arrested but to no avail,” he added.

He urged the security operatives in both the FCT and Kaduna State to help trace his son.

The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, said the command was not aware of the incident but promised to find out from the DPO in Bwari and get back to our reporter.
