Senate President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, Senator Bukola Saraki got the nod of party delegates in Lagos to emerge as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2019 election.
Saraki who was well received at the party secretariat along Adekunle Fajuyi in Ikeja also declared he has the political sagacity to truly restructure the country and devolve more powers to the federating units.
Saraki who was accompanied on the visit by Senator Dino Melaye; former Kogi Governor, Capt. Idris Wada; former PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Kawu Baraje, among others, also vowed that come next year, PDP would produce a governor in Lagos state.
He also implored them to see his aspiration as that of Lagos state as he is also a Lagosian by virtue of having his primary and secondary school education in Lagos and more importantly because his wife and mother-in-law are Lagosians.
Saraki insisted he is the best among the aspirants who has the vision and the capacity to restructure Nigeria and address the pressing leadership challenges confronting the country.
