The newly re-elected Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected at the finals of the ongoing 2023 Eater Cup polo tournament at the foremost Ribadu Road polo ground in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The holiday event that is the grand finale of the polo season as it ushers in the rainy season that galloped off in grand style on Good Friday, April 7 is billed to climax with a funfair on Easter Monday, April 10, 2023, on Lagos.
A statement from the Organizers indicates that the tournament which is exclusive to playing members of the club would be keenly contested by all participants as the Easter Cup traditionally marks the grand finale of the Lagos polo season as it ushers in the rainy season.
Polo Royals also gathered that besides the Easter fun fair that usually trails the four days polo fiesta, the Easter Cup traditionally presents the players to begin a series of gradual preparation to resume the national tour with the Ibadan polo tournament as the first port of call.

The Lagos Polo President, Bode Makanjuola who lauded all the sponsors for supporting the activities of the foremost club over the decades urged all the invited guests, corporate icons, and members of the diplomatic corps and polo buffs to spend the Easter holidays at the club.
“From God Friday to Easter Monday, the Lagos Polo Club as everything has been put in place for a memorable 2023 edition of the tourney.” The polo boss declared “The players are in high spirits and horses are set to thrill in what promises to be one the most contested Eater Cup yet, “he added.
