In a low key take-over ceremony held last Wednesday, the new GM stated that he would carry all along toward moving the station to greater heights, noting that he would also reach out to other sister stations in the state.
While soliciting the support and cooperation of the staff and management, Alhaji Ringim said he was going to operate an open door policy. He cautioned the staff to avoid blackmail and gossiping, which he said hampers productivity.
Ringim, however, tasked the staff to be disciplined and try as much as possible to work in accordance with the ethics of the profession, saying indulging in libel, defamation and use of abusive language in office could be detrimental to achieving the organisational goals.
While urging the staff to also exhibit the consumer satisfaction posture, the GM added that satisfying his clients and listeners would always be his main priority.
Speaking earlier, the outgoing GM, Malam Mujitaba Ramalan Bello, congratulated his successor over the appointment, saying that it was a step in the right direction, given his wealth of experience and credibility.
Malam Bello, therefore, pledged his support and cooperation to the new GM on behalf of all the heads of department and prayed to almighty Allah to guide the new general manager.
Alhaji Ringim, who was once a Director of Press at the Jigawa State Government House for three years, has been working with Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for 28 years.
