The President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr Ike Neliaku, has said that as reputation and perception builders, the institute has set up a technical committee of experts to study the controversial Samoa Agreement.
Speaking on Thursday in Abuja during the special diamond anniversary induction for the media industry, he said the team would come up with the reputation and perception implications of signing the agreement for Nigeria and its citizens.
He said the important things to be studied were the professional value benefits of the Samoa Agreement to Nigerians, as well as the reputational value and the financial benefits.
Neliaku said after the committee was done with the study of the agreement, the institute would then be able to speak on the agreement and advise the federal government on the reputational implications of the agreement to Nigeria.
