In his message to Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, Nkire said governance had gone so bad that Nigerians need prayers to make some of their leaders change their ways.
The former National Chairman of the Progressive Peoples’ Alliance (PPA), who noted that no amount of prayer was too much, added that non-Muslims could seize this opportunity to ask God for “better leadership” in 2015.
He said it was obvious that many criminals engage in crime due to bad governance arising from nepotism and corruption on the part of Nigerian leaders, stressing that it was important for Nigerians to choose good leaders in the coming general elections.
He also charged Nigerians in general to pray to God to show Boko Haram and its leadership the true practice of Islam which preached love and compassion.
